Pickleball

Pickleball is a fun, social and friendly sport.  The rules are simple, and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game.

Pickleball was invented in 1965 on Bainbridge Island.  Three dads Joel Pritchard, Bill Bell, and Barney McCallum are credited for creating the game.  Pickleball has evolved from original handmade equipment and simple rules into a popular sport throughout the US and Canada.  A pickleball court is the same size as a doubles badminton court.  In pickleball, the same court size is used for both singles and doubles play.  The court is striped similar to a tennis court with right and left service courts.

Valley County Pickleball Clubs, working in cooperation with Valley County Parks & Recreation invite you to the courts complex which is open for public use during the operating seasons (est. May - November) 7 days a week, during daylight hours.
