Prosecutor's Office

The Valley County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office serves the people of Valley County by providing professional, fair, and effective prosecution in criminal matters.  The Office works in partnership with law enforcement to serve the public by maintaining a safe community, enhancing quality of life for our residents and visitors, and ensuring crime victims are treated with fairness, compassion and respect.

Criminal Work: The Prosecution Team holds criminals accountable for infraction and misdemeanor violations which occur outside the City of McCall, and prosecutes felonies throughout the entire county. The Victim Witness Coordinator assists victims of crime in navigating the criminal justice process and ensuring victims’ rights are protected.

Civil Work:  The Civil Team provides legal services and advice to the Board of County Commissioners, elected officials, and department heads on a myriad of issues. The Office protects the interests of Valley County in areas such as contract review, real estate transactions, land use planning, civil litigation and risk management, as well as serving Valley County’s most vulnerable citizens through our work with Child Protection cases, adult Conservatorship/Guardianship cases, and Indigency Services.
