Valley County Hazard and Risk Map

An Interactive Tool for Exploring Risk and Resilience Data

The Emergency Management team is responsible for developing, updating, and executing Valley County’s Emergency Operations Plan. We manage emergency events and hazards that may impact Valley County and its residents. See the most recent update to the Valley County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan for more on hazard planning and mitigation.

In partnership with the Boise State Hazard and Climate Resilience Institute, Valley County developed an interactive tool that visualizes county-wide hazard risk and resilience data. Focus areas include:

  • Wildland Fire
  • Flooding
  • Earthquakes
  • Landslides
  • Extreme Weather
  • Population
  • Infrastructure

Click on the map below or this link Valley County Hazards and Risk Map to explore live and historical hazard, infrastructure and population data. Users can view various data layers and zoom to their specific properties. For example, you can:

  • Explore active wildfire data and community wildfire risk
  • Check to see if your property is near a flood zone
  • Identify historical hazard areas such a burn areas, earthquakes, or landslides
