The primary purpose of the Valley County Diversion Program is to offer a community based juvenile diversion program in accordance with Idaho Code 20-511.

Juvenile Diversion Program
Who is Eligible?

The Diversion program is for youth under 18 years of age, who are charged with a first time, low-level, non-violent misdemeanor offence, including but not limited to: petit theft, willful concealment, low level vandalism, trespassing/unlawful entry, MIP tobacco/alcohol.

Program Fees

A non-refundable fee of $100 applies to the diversion program. The fee covers administrative costs, worker’s compensation, and urinalysis fee. Additional costs may occur (i.e. counseling, anti-theft classes, etc.) and are the responsibility of the juvenile and his/her parent/guardian.
